Logs and Telemetry

Overview

Logs

The infrastructure may generate multiple log events that are too cumbersome or has significant variations. So, choosing between which logs to send to a log management solution, and which logs to archive becomes a challenge. Filtering the logs before sending them may lead to gaps in coverage or the accidental removal of valuable data. Observability log management helps you overcome those gaps and limitations by dissociating indexing from log ingestion. This enables you to collect, process, archive, explore, and monitor all your logs with no log limits.

Telemetry:

Telemetry, a process of obtaining data remotely, by transmitting information from one data source to another or by storing it for later retrieval. Telemetry data plays a major role in providing a complete picture of the application behaviour and performance. Telemetry data improves customer experiences, monitors security, application health, quality, and performance.

As an emerging standard for cloud-native monitoring, telemetry can expand market-leading full stack observability into a wider set of systems, further enriching traditional AI and ML capabilities.
