Incident and notification management
Any incident leading to a disruption in services of an organization is described as an Incident, and it is often necessary to have a set framework for handling these events/ incidents. Incidents live in Observability alongside the metrics, traces, and logs that are collected. It is possible to view and filter incidents that are relevant to you.
Observability intelligence is beneficial to detect issues or incidents, identify the root cause and to resolve those issues before they could impact business outcome. A notification/ alert gets initiated on abnormal situations, such as performance degradations, improper functionality, or lack of availability that is, problems represent anomalies in baseline system performance.
Observability identifies the nature and severity of any specific incident continuously and keep improving its overall alerting accuracy and reduce the time involvement. Also reduces overall challenges faced by the organisation IT team while prioritizing its crucial tasks.
