Akihito Kurozumi
Group Senior Managing Executive Officer, CIO, Rakuten Group
Akihito Kurozumi is Group Senior Managing Executive Officer and CIO of Rakuten Group, Inc. After graduating from Kansai University, Kurozumi started his business career at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT) in 1997 where he spent 4 years. He joined Rakuten, Inc. (now Rakuten Group, Inc.) in 2002, primarily working in the Development Division. He was appointed as Executive Officer in 2008, and in 2013 moved to the USA to take on the role of Vice President of the Americas Development Unit at Rakuten USA, Inc. After returning to Japan, Kurozumi was appointed Senior Executive Officer in 2019 and Group Senior Managing Executive Officer in 2022 (current position). Kurozumi has been leading the technology organization in the Commerce & Marketing Company for many years and in May 2023 he was also appointed as CIO of Rakuten Group where he is responsible for the technology that supports the Rakuten Ecosystem.

Akihito Kurozumi is Group Senior Managing Executive Officer and CIO of Rakuten Group, Inc. Takashi Katsuragi

Takashi Katsuragi is the CEO of Rakuten Asia, bringing over a decade of diverse leadership experience within the Rakuten Group. With a remarkable track record as Head of Education Business, he spearheaded the "Englishnization Project," adopting English as Rakuten's official language. In recent years, he played a pivotal role in the success of key strategic ventures, including Rakuten’s communication utility and media businesses.
His previous roles as an HR executive spanned Rakuten Mobile and Rakuten USA where he crafted innovative solutions and implemented the Global HR appraisal system. Katsuragi's career began at the East Japan Railway Company, where he honed his skills in developing training programs for professionals. As CEO, his strategic acumen continues to propel Rakuten Asia to new heights in APAC.

Tsubasa Shiraishi
Vice Chairman & CEO, Rakuten India and General Manager, IT Strategy Department, Rakuten Group, Inc.
Tsubasa (Tsuby) Shiraishi is the Vice Chairman and CEO of Rakuten India. With 20 years of global experience in business strategy, development, and management across multiple domains, he is leading Rakuten India’s evolution into a global innovation hub for the Rakuten Group.
In Rakuten Group, he serves as Chief of Staff to the Group CIO and as General Manager of the IT Strategy Department, supporting global technology strategy and execution across Rakuten’s international operations.
Shiraishi was part of the founding team that launched Rakuten Kobo in Japan and also served as General Manager of the Global Content Strategy and Business Development Office.
During his tenure in the United States, he headed the President’s Office at Rakuten USA in San Mateo, California. He was responsible for establishing Rakuten Crimson House West, an initiative designed to unify Rakuten’s businesses across the Americas.
Shiraishi has also led the President’s Office and Business Strategy Office at Rakuten’s Media & Communications Company, overseeing a portfolio of 15+ businesses including Rakuten Viber, Rakuten Kobo, Rakuten Viki, Rakuten TV, Rakuten Mobile (MVNO), Rakuten Ticket and Rakuten Energy. In this role, he drove synergy creation and ecosystem development across Rakuten’s digital media and communications businesses.
